About Us

Hello, I am Jacqueline, the owner of My Neighbors Hood Youth Community Center.

Currently, I'm pursuing a degree in Event Planning Management. My goal is to utilize my skills to teach the youth about hospitality and create meaningful experiences for them. My dedication is to work with the children in the community and help them reach their full potential, that is my passion.

Recognizing the importance of collaboration, I aim to connect with young individuals who may feel hopeless, providing them with support and opportunities for growth.

My involvement with Making Connections Milwaukee, Borchert Field Neighborhood and Cold Spring Park Historic Neighborhood has earned me several certificates in Resident Leadership, showcasing my commitment to community engagement.

I served as the Cheerleader Head Coach and Parent Coordinator at Urban Waldorf School, where my contributions were recognized with the Metropolitan Milwaukee Alliance of Black Schools Educators (MMSBSE) Award.

Additionally, my passion for face painting for children started as a volunteer at Urban Waldorf and has led me to establish my own business, Face Painting by Jacqueline. I now provide face painting services for several summer events and organizations which demonstrates my commitment to serving the community.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I remain active in my church, engaging with the youth in the Youth Ministry and as a Vacation Bible School teacher.

My personal interests are learning new things, cooking, drawing, painting, singing, sewing, gardening, dancing, DIY projects, research, and reading, all contribute to my creativity and well-rounded approach to my work.

With a strong foundation in the youth and child services field, I am determined to develop essential skills within myself and the youth that I serve. Through collaborations, perseverance, and more, I strive to create a supportive network and empower the youth of My Neighbors Hood Youth Community Center, emphasizing the importance of community.
